WHAT IS SHUNGITE

Shungite was named so because it is only found near Shunga village, in Karelia, Russia.

It consists of carbon, just like diamond and coal, but it exhibits completely different proper ties from its counterparts. The scientists who carried out a study on shungite were awarde d with the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1996.
